Provide Enablement and Care shortlisted for national award recognising outstanding de-escalation skills

A team dedicated to delivering compassionate, person-centred care in complex environments has been recognised on a national stage, as our colleagues from Provide Enablement and Care at Fern Lodge, Braintree, have been shortlisted in the Outstanding De-Escalation Skills category at the 2026 Workplace Violence Reduction Awards.

The Workplace Violence Reduction Awards recognise excellence across all sectors in reducing workplace violence and creating safe, supportive environments for staff and the people they serve. The de-escalation category specifically celebrates teams who demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, using empathy, communication and trust to safely manage challenging situations and prevent conflict.

Mark Heasman, Group Chief Executive at Provide Community, said: “This shortlisting is a testament to the commitment and expertise of the Fern Lodge team, who consistently deliver high-quality, person-centred care in complex and often challenging circumstances. I would like to congratulate all colleagues involved on this well-deserved recognition.”

The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday 29 April 2026 in Birmingham. The full list of finalists can be viewed here: https://www.thewvras.com/2026/03/17/celebrating-safer-workplaces-2026-wvra-finalists-revealed/
