Volunteering at Enablement and Care

💛 Volunteering at Enablement and Care: Make a Difference, Every Day

At Enablement and Care, we believe in the power of people and that includes the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy, and kindness to help us make every day meaningful.

Volunteers are a vital part of our community. Whether it’s supporting creative activities, spending time one-to-one with residents, joining us on days out, or simply sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, volunteers help create joyful moments and lasting connections.

We’ve had volunteers join us for everything from arts and crafts days to seasonal celebrations, helping residents express themselves and try new things. Others have accompanied us on group trips or helped coordinate visits like the ice cream van that brought smiles all round on a sunny afternoon!

Every act of volunteering, no matter how small. adds to the sense of warmth, inclusion, and independence that makes our homes feel special.

One lovely example is John, a volunteer gardener who visits us each Tuesday. John has a learning disability and volunteers with support. He helps keep our outdoor spaces looking beautiful and takes pride in maintaining our gardens, a calm and friendly presence who brings something truly valuable to our weekly routine.

Volunteering with Enablement and Care is flexible, inclusive, and hugely rewarding. Whether you’re looking to gain experience, give back to your community, or just meet new people, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

You don’t need to be a trained carer or an expert, just someone with time to give and a desire to make a positive difference.

If you’re interested in getting involved, please get in touch. We can match you with a role that suits your skills, interests, and availability.
